A 50 year old Spanish man has been ordered to pay 200 Euros (about £165), including vet costs, after he was arrested two weeks ago for throwing a Yorkshire Terrier at the referee whilst watching a non-league game in Spain!

He wasn’t happy with the performance of the ref so swiped the dog from his owner and lobbed him from the upper tier of the stands in the ref’s direction. This caused a fight between dog owner and dog thrower before the police got involved and arrested the man.

The dog was initially left unconscious, but don’t worry dog lovers – he is okay now.
